For the past 3 years, my daughter has been performing her tap solos at her kung fu club. The board they provide for her do not do her justice. For the first time, we will be bringing your portable Tappin' Floors for them to hear the wonderful sounds her feet are capable of making with the right floors. Besides the great sounds, ease of portability and durability, we also love your floors for being easy on our neighbour's ears. We live in a townhouse and noise can be an issue. The first day we got the floor, we asked our neighbour to go listen from inside his home. I was so surprised when he said he hardly heard anything. I myself listened outside and it was very muffled. The tapping sounds are really loud and clear inside but is undectable outside and next door. We still can't believe that she can practise without having to worry about disturbing anyone. I finally got to opening the box, putting the floor together, and giving it a whirl - I have to say that I'm pretty satisfied! It is indeed light, it offers good sound possibilities, and my ears, along with my joints, appreciate the drum effect that occurs because of the floor being raised above the ground. So, away and a tappin' we go!

For years and years now I have searched for an affordable, portable dance surface. As I searched I found several options but most of them were far too pricey and didn't posses the qualities a really fussy tap dancer would expect. Having the floor raised was one of the details I expected. Dancing on a floor with no space below it gives you no resonance. It's like playing a drum head flat on the floor. The sound is so compromised. I'm excited that we have finally come up with a light weight version of a REAL WOOD portable tap floor that sounds and feels great.
